When you visit our website www.protectwestchicago.com (“Site”) and use our digital campaign software application (the “Application”), you trust us with your personal information. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, how and why we collect that information, and how we use it. We hope you take some time to read through it carefully, as it is important. If there are any provisions in this Privacy Policy that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our Site and our Application.

8. DOES PROTECT WEST CHICAGO RESPOND TO DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES?

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.

9. CAN WE CHANGE YOUR INFORMATION AND TERMINATE YOUR CORRESPONDENCE?

YOUR DIGITAL CAMPAIGN EMAILS

Once you send a digital campaign correspondence, we cannot retract your correspondence. Upon your request to remove your information from our system, we will deactivate or delete your information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, and/or comply with legal requirements.

OUR EMAILS AND COMMUNICATIONS

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from us, you may opt-out by selecting to opt-out in our emails. You can also opt-in or opt-out by checking a box on our Site or contact us directly and request to stop receiving these communications.

10. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE ADDITIONAL PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Users of our Site or Application who are California residents may request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, certain information about the Personal Information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of Personal Information that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the immediately preceding calendar year.
